SALTED AND SPICED WATERMELON MARGARITAS
INGREDIENTS
1 Tbsp granulated sugar
1/2 tsp finely grated lime zest
1 Tbsp plus 1/8 tsp. kosher salt
1 lime wedge
6 oz. store-bought or homemade watermelon juice
3 oz. tequila
2 oz. fresh lime juice
2 oz. triple sec
Ice
6 thinly sliced jalapeño, divided
Watermelon wedges and lime rounds, for serving
DIRECTIONS
On a shallow plate, combine granulated sugar, lime zest, and 1 tablespoon salt. Rub rims of 2 glasses with lime wedge, then dip rims into sugar mixture to coat, pressing with your fingers to adhere.
In a cocktail shaker, combine watermelon juice, tequila, lime juice, and triple sec. Fill shaker with ice, then add 4 jalapeño rounds and remaining 1/8 teaspoon salt. Vigorously shake until outside of shaker is frosty, about 20 seconds.
Strain into prepared glasses. Garnish with watermelon wedges, lime rounds, and remaining jalapeño.
CHAMPAGNE MARGARITAS
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup fresh lime juice
1 cup silver tequila
1/2 cup orange liquer
1 bottle champagne (about 3 cups)
lime wedges, for rim
salt, for rim
DIRECTIONS
Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher and stir well.
Run lime wedges around the rim of each champagne flute and dip the rims in coarse salt.
Divide margaritas between flutes and garnish with lime wedges.
FROZEN SANGRIA MARGARITA
INGREDIENTS
FOR THE SANGRIA LAYER
1 cup red wine
Juice of 1 orange
Juice of 1 lime
2 cups ice
FOR THE MARGARITA LAYER
1 can frozen limeade concentrate
2 shots tequila
2 cups ice
DIRECTIONS
Blend sangria mixture. Transfer mixture to the freezer while you blend margarita mixture.
Rinse blender and blend margarita mixture.
On a small plate combine sugar and salt. Run a wedge of lime around the rim of a glass and dip in sugar and salt. Alternate layers of sangria and margarita.
Garnish with lime and serve.
GRAPEFRUIT MARGARITA
INGREDIENTS
1 cup grapefruit juice
1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
2/3 cup triple sec
3 cups ice
1 cup blanco tequila
1/4 cup honey
Lime wedges, for garnish
kosher salt, for garnish
DIRECTIONS
Run a lime wedge around the rim of each glass then dip each glass in salt.
Combine first 6 ingredients in a blender. Blend on high until smooth and slushy. Pour into glasses and garnish with more lime.
SPICEY PEACH MARGARITA
INGREDIENTS
1 small peach , peel and roughly chopped
Tajín, for rimming
2 oz. tequila
1/2 oz. peach schnapps
1 oz. lime juuce
Lime wheels or peach slices, for garnish
DIRECTIONS
Add chopped peach into a food processor or blender. Blend completely until liquidy. Rub the outer rim of a rocks glass with a lime and rim with tajín.
In a cocktail shaker combine tequila, peach schnapps, lime juice and 1 oz of peach puree. Add ice and shake vigorously until the shaker is frosty.
Strain into rocks glass and top with ice. Garnish with a peach slice or lime wedge.
